During December 5-10th,2022, Uzbekistan welcomed the delegation from the leading universities of the Czech Republic.
The delegation included:
Czech Technical University in Prague,
Czech University of Life Sciences,
School of Business of the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague,
Metropolitan University Prague
ŠKODA AUTO University.
The purpose of the visit of the Czech delegation was to enhance cooperation and joint work in future programs to serve the universities of both countries in accordance with the requirements in various disciplines,organizing the joint scientific and practical research, as well as establishing student exchanges, Erasmus+ partnerships, signing memorandums of understanding with Tashkent and regional universities and to introduce Uzbek students the opportunities to get a high-quality European education in the Czech Republic in English.
The program of the visit of the delegation was scheduled in the frame of Education Fairs in Tashkent and Samarkand, organized by StudyIn.University, international consulting company, which implements its activities in the field of higher education, hold a number of meetings at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tashkent, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute, Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics and National University of Uzbekistan.
The delegates were warmly welcomed by Mr. Roman Masařík, chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the Czech Republic and a friendly meeting at the Embassy was followed by the presentations of Mr. Daler Abdurachmanov, the co-founder of StudyIn.University, and the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan, on the topics “Uzbekistan: Potential for cooperation” and “Cooperation opportunities within ERASMUS+ Call 2023 and country specific priorities”. During the presentation the participants were briefly informed about the educational system of Uzbekistan, country specific priorities and the importance of more efficient use of the potential of cooperation with Uzbekistan in the educational sphere.
On the same day the representatives of UCT School of Business visited the National University of Uzbekistan, the next day- the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute. During these meetings representatives of the universities of the two countries discussed prospects for cooperation on scientific and educational projects, further development of joint educational programs, as well as considered the prospects for academic exchanges. The sides plan to create double degree programs in the area of Economics and Management.
On December 6, the Education Fair “Study in English in the Czech Republic” was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The Fair began with a meeting between a delegation of Czech universities, MHSSE, Embassy of the Czech Republic,the Rector of TSUOS Rikhsieva Gulchekhra, followed by signing a Memorandum of cooperation between TSUOS and Metropolitan University Prague. This memorandum is aimed to establish a mutual educational and methodological experience exchange between the two higher educational institutions, educational and scientific cooperation, such as the improvement of the qualifications of professors and teachers, and the participation of students in various grant projects.
Afterwards, Gulchekhra Rikhsieva, the rector of TSUOS and Mr. Roman Masařík, chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the Czech Republic delivered welcome speeches, the representatives of Czech universities made short presentations about their universities and presented the partnership certificates to StudyIn.University.
Lots of young minds full of motivation for quality education, parents, teachers, academic staff and many other participants got useful information regarding study in the Czech Republic. Prospective students had a unique opportunity to get free access to multiple universities, interact with the university representatives and obtain first-hand information about degree programs, financial aid, tuition, admission requirements, schedules and classes from a variety of universities. The university representatives, in turn, could get a clear idea of students' requirements, their potential and interests.
The National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan also took part in the Fair, representatives of which shared information about all the possibilities of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic was there to support and promote Czech Universities and the education system of the Czech Republic, to help and advise students who are interested in studies in the Czech Republic.
On December 7, the representatives of Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech University of Life Sciences and ŠKODA AUTO University visited the Tashkent State Transport University. During the meeting, the parties agreed to establish closer ties between universities. The possibilities of cooperation on similar programs available in the above universities were discussed.
On December 9, a meeting was held at the Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics with the participation of Czech delegates and representatives of local universities. During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education were discussed. The prospects for cooperation on the exchange programmes, researches and promotion for future students were also discussed.
On the same day, the Education Fair, dedicated to study in English in the Czech Republic was held in Samarkand, at the private school Istikbolli Talim. The Fair has become an excellent opportunity for young people to get acquainted with the opportunities of higher education in the best Czech universities and for university representatives to communicate with ambitious students.
The participants received a huge amount of interesting and useful information on admission to Czech universities and got some original gifts from our Czech partners, which also served as additional motivation for them.
In general, the visit was held in a warm atmosphere.
If the students choose Czech Republic for their studies, we are sure they will be satisfied with the high quality of the education system and with their student life, as the Czech Republic has even much more to offer.
